Since 2015, I, Gayathri Viswanathan Tata, founder of GRT Artland and Clay Ganesha Singapore, Director of Tata wins pte Ltd have been creating the world’s only Hayagreeva Ganapathi clay idol, seated on a lotus. This form is not found in India, temples, or online. It was born here, through divine inspiration and deep study of the Puranas.

🕉️ A Divine Moment That Changed Everything

My journey began in 1991, during a visit to Kanchi Periyava. A revered guru asked me to draw Ganesha using rice flour and chant the Hayagreeva slokam:

“Jñāna-nandamayam Devam nirmala spadigakrithim,

Aadharam Sarva vidhyanaam Hayagreevam upasmahe”

Concerned about my memory and upcoming exams, my mother asked for blessings. The guru simply said:

“Let her do this daily. She will be fine.”

From that day, I followed the practice with devotion. My memory sharpened, my confidence grew, and I excelled in studies. More importantly, I developed a deep connection to teaching and sharing knowledge—a calling that continues to guide my life. 🎨 The Birth of a Unique Idol

In 2014, while conducting art classes for women and children, I began sculpting eco-friendly clay Ganeshas. Then, in 2015, I had a vivid dream: Hayagreeva Ganapathi seated on a lotus. I sketched it the next morning and handed it to my mould maker. Though I’d never formally learned clay sculpting, she trusted the vision.

That sketch became the first Hayagreeva Ganapathi clay idol in the world. After verifying scriptures—including a chapter in the Ganesha Purana where Ganesha blesses as Hayagreeva—I realized this form had been lost or hidden during colonial times. It was meant to be revived, here in Singapore.

Since then, this form has been crafted exclusively through GRT Artland and Clay Ganesha Singapore. Over 500 students have performed Ganesh Chaturthi Pooja with their families, praying to Hayagreeva Ganapathi before exams, interviews, and life milestones. Many have gone on to succeed in academics, careers, and personal growth.
